This industrial class mortiser is capable of a 1" mortice in softwood and with an extended timber capacity of 8" is large enough for any workshop. Cast iron construction with a gas spring to support the weight of the head, top and bottom chisel depth stops and a multi-position handle for speed when working with small timber. Repeat stops are fitted to the table movement along with a timber position stop, which mean this machine is ideally suited to a production environment. All of the dovetail slides have an adjustable jib strip to allow for any wear during the life of this machine, which will undoubtedly be long.

Supplied with 4 chisel bushes for using both foreign 3/4" and 1.1/8" or British 13/16" and 1.3/16" chisels, NVR switch, screw thread work clamp, 1/2" chisel (from craft range), cable and plug.

We offer two types of floorstand for this machine;
The more basic splayed legs type is very strong and offers more stability when working with longer/heavier timber.
The cabinet base has a hinged door with a shelf inside and is handy for storing spare chisels and service tools.

We also offer two ranges of chisels. The craft range, MCC type, are low cost and completely adequate for occasional users. The trade range, MCT type, are made to a greater degree of precision and from a harder material and therefore give a longer life. We recommend these for all professional or trade users.
